Two different areas of expertise, one shared way of working.
Helen Bromfield is a jewellery designer and specialist in pearl and bead stringing. She can develop something new from an idea, rethink jewellery you already own, or work through the small details that make a piece sit and feel right.
David Kaye brings experience in jewellery repairs and diamonds, supported by his membership of the London Diamond Bourse. He can help identify the practical concerns in a worn piece and explain diamond choices without making the conversation more complicated than it needs to be.
Together, they give customers a studio where design, care and technical judgement can meet around the same piece of jewellery.
Your jewellery grows with you. Our role is to help its meaning and workmanship travel together.
Why the personal part matters
Before we talk about what can be changed, we want to know what should not be lost.
A broken clasp may belong to a necklace that has been worn for decades. An inherited ring can feel completely irreplaceable even when the setting no longer suits the person who owns it. Pearls can carry memories that have very little to do with their monetary value.
Those details affect the advice. We want to know what you are trying to preserve, what is no longer working and how you hope to use the jewellery afterwards. The technical solution should support those answers, not overshadow them.

Inherited, gifted or unworn jewellery can be assessed for stones, components and details that may suit a new design.
Diamonds
David explains natural and lab grown diamonds in clear language, helping you compare grading, proportions and the character of the individual stone.

A practical appointment can still feel personal.
There is room for the history of the jewellery, but also for clear questions about condition, materials, cost and what is realistically possible.

Appointments are recommended because they set aside time for your piece and your questions. You can request a studio visit online or begin with a WhatsApp message.
Can I bring jewellery even if I do not know which service I need?
Yes. Many people know what is bothering them without knowing the technical name for the work. We can look at the visible condition and discuss whether repair, stringing, remodelling, cleaning or another route appears appropriate.
