Jewellery repair
For broken chains, worn clasps, damaged settings, loose stones and other faults in rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
Jewellery services in Hatton Garden, London
A clasp may have broken, a ring may no longer fit or an inherited piece may feel ready for a different life. Helen and David listen to what it means to you, look carefully at what it needs and guide you towards repair, restringing, resizing, polishing, remodelling or a new design.
Care that follows the piece
It may be the ring you touch without thinking, the necklace someone fastened for you years ago or the bracelet that has travelled through your family. That history changes the way a repair, resize or redesign should be discussed.
We want to understand how the jewellery has been worn, what has changed and which details you would most like to protect. Once we know that, the technical choices become much easier to explain.

Each service asks different technical questions. The pages below explain what we look for and what may be possible for your piece.
For broken chains, worn clasps, damaged settings, loose stones and other faults in rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
Helen restrings pearl necklaces, bracelets, gemstone beads and broken strands, with knotting, clasp assessment and redesign where suitable.
Make a ring larger or smaller after its fit, metal, construction, stones and previous work have been carefully assessed.
Turn inherited, gifted or unworn jewellery into something you can wear now while carrying forward the parts that still matter.
Refresh the finish of suitable jewellery after the metal, gemstones, settings and visible wear have been checked.
Work with Helen to develop a piece from your idea, or combine design guidance with stones and jewellery you already own.
A more personal process
Start with what you can see, what you remember and what you would like the jewellery to do for you now.
Show us the jewellery and describe the change, damage or result you are hoping for.
Helen or David looks at its visible condition, construction and the details that may shape what is possible.
We set out what can be done, what may not be advisable and the likely route from here.
You decide whether to proceed once the work, quotation and any practical limitations have been explained.
Complimentary jewellery health check
If you are unsure whether the issue is repair, fit, finish or something else, a complimentary visual check can help narrow it down before you make any decision.
Questions about our jewellery services
The jewellery itself usually tells us more than a photograph or description can.
No. Choose a general appointment or complimentary jewellery health check and tell us what concerns you. We can guide you towards repair, restringing, resizing, polishing, remodelling or design after seeing the piece.
Yes. The jewellery usually needs to be assessed before the scope and price can be confirmed. We explain the proposed work and agree the quotation with you before proceeding.
Walk ins are welcome subject to studio availability, but an appointment is recommended so Helen or David can give your jewellery and questions dedicated time.
Yes. Photographs can help us understand the enquiry, particularly for repair or remodelling. A final recommendation or quotation may still require the jewellery itself to be examined.
Please contact us before sending any jewellery. We can discuss whether sending the piece to us from within the UK is appropriate and what arrangement would be suitable for that particular item.
